Bonjour, friends and colleagues! Is it possible this blog hasn’t been updated since October 2020? Yes, because that was the last time I did a book fair: Rare Books LA online. It was a good experience but the truth is I couldn’t get very excited about doing virtual book fairs going forward, so I took a break from exhibiting altogether until we could get back to in-person events. Then when things finally did get back to “normal” I was distracted by the vicissitudes of life, so I have been more or less L’Absent…

…which brings me to the invigorating news that Zoe Abrams Rare Books will be participating in The Philadelphia Rare Book Fair in person this December 2023, sharing a booth with the fabulous Lizzyoung Bookseller! I have a ton of uncatalogued inventory purchased during the pandemic (just because I wasn’t at the fairs doesn’t mean I wasn’t buying…), plus some gems I never got around to cataloguing when I bought them in the Before Time. In all likelihood it will take me a while to produce a catalogue but THERE WILL BE A LIST.

I’m so excited to rediscover the books, manuscripts, and ephemera on my shelves, and to share them with you. So please check back here soon and mark your calendars for December 7-9, when I hope to see you at the fair in Philadelphia!
